EUROPEAN FILM SHOOTING SCRIPT
Narrator: Voice over film of the last five minutes of last weeks episode: “As you recall from last week our intrepid explorer, while searching for the rare Stungwung plant for Doctor Wilcocks, found herself trapped in a warm muddy bog. Unable to save herself she sank deeper and deeper until as we left her the mud was almost to her neck. We now rejoin our young explorer to discover will she survive, or will only her pith helmet remain, floating upon the bogs surface. The only marker to her muddy grave.”
Lead in Music builds slightly, changing to the villainess Silver Star’s theme as the film fades to her hideout, a makeshift laboratory somewhere in the islands long extinct volcano.
Narrator: Silver Star had been watching the intrepid explorer with her hidden cameras as she made her way through the islands thick three yard jungle. At first the mouse had thought that the vixen was Petunia Lawson, her nemesis and the woman she secretly loved. Rumor had recently come to the villainess that Petunia was flying to the island, yet strangely this vixen had arrived by boat, a boat that had left after unloading her cargo. Now the vixen was waist deep in the horrid Tabada mud pit, its currents slowly drawing her down the throat of the cool but deadly mud geyser.
Silver Star: (Turning away from her electraviewerscope that had Ambers fate showing on its screen) “What to do” the mouse asked herself as she walked away from the viewing machine. “She’s just an explorer, no one will miss her and her body will enrich the mud making it easier for my new plants to grow. Plants I need for my serum.”
(She stops at a desk, picking up a framed photograph of Petunia Lawson, speaking to the photograph.)
“She does look a lot like you Petunia, and I am awfully lonely.”
She sighed, reaching for a hanging utility belt well known by her fans and hated by the reporter Petunia.
“It’s only thirty yards after all. I might as well, besides I’m tired of sleeping alone.”
Camera follows as the mouse strides down one of several natural tunnels, walking as she puts her famous belt on. Fade to Amber.
Now up to her neck in mud Amber was praying, she had accepted that no one was coming. Every time her feet had found something that felt solid it slowly melted away from under her. She was halfway through her prayer when she heard a woman’s voice behind her.
Silver Star: “Deep, isn’t it” the mouse asked from behind the dying vixen.
Amber: “Rather, though it is warm” she answers, trying to keep her voice calm. “Are you going to help me out?”
Silver Star: “Stop flailing, it only makes you sink faster but help you? That depends on what you have to offer me.”
Amber: “Offer? Everything I own is yours. Please, whomever you are please save me.”Silver Star: (laughs softly) “Why, are you too young to die? Listen little girl no one is too young to die. I’ve midwife’d native women’s babies only to watch helpless as they died in their mothers arms. So no, that doesn’t go. Try something that might interest me.”
Amber: For a few precious seconds the vixen thought, what could she have that this woman might want. Try as she did, Amber could not think of anything. “Tell me, what do you want? Anything just name it.”
Silver Star: “Oh lets see, how about you? It’s lonely out here, my beds cold and I really could use a partner in crime.”
Amber: The vixens frantic mind only caught the word crime. “Who are you” she asked.
Silver Star: “Petunia Lawson called me Silver Star for the one embroidered on my eyepatch. Its sort of stuck I guess though it isn’t my name or how I ever thought of myself.”
Amber: The vixens face now shows shock and some fear. She had read the newspaper reports so she well knew who this villainess was. “No” she shouted, feeling herself slip further down at the force of her outburst.
Silver Star: “No? Well, it’s your decision. Say hello to whatever God you believe in and tell him I’m coming after him soon.” She stood and noisily started walking away.
Amber: The mud touched the vixen’s chin, at this rate she had but minutes before her head slipped under. Death then was certain. With reality slapping her in the face she made a fateful decision. “Wait” she called. “I agree, anything, anything you desire just please do not leave me to die.”
Silver Star: (From a short distance) “I thought you might agree my little slave girl” she says as she throws a thick rope over a heavy tree limb well above the sinking vixens grasp. Tying both ends of the rope around her own waist she leaps into the deadly mud trap next to Amber, shocking the vixen. “Only way now” the mouse explains as she shoved a rubber mouthpiece into the vixens mouth. “Breath through this, you’re too deep so you’re going under but as long as you breath though that I’ll save your life.” Then she takes a deep breath herself and dives under the mud.
Amber: (Voice over as if it were her thoughts.) ‘This is a villain, a criminal?’ she thought as her head slipped under due to the mouses physical efforts. ‘I know hero’s who would just say a prayer as I went under.’
As the camera stays on the confused mud only two lengths of rope, a black rubber tube topped with a native flower and Ambers helmet remain showing as time ticks.. And ticks. Then with an slow eruption of mud the mouse Silver Star pulls herself free with the rope, making her way to the shore. Of the beautiful vixen nothing is to be seen but her pith helmet and a single rope reaching into the mud.
(Scene Change)
The mouse Silver Star, feared by half the civilized world is at her work table fiddling with some new nefarious device. Off screen a sound of high heels is heard, then the vixen Amber comes into screen wearing a Harem outfit that hides very little.
Amber: “Dinner is ready mistress. Oh, and Petunia has just landed on the island.”
Silver Star: Turning around Silver Star stands and walks over to the taller vixen. “She can wait, you though” She lifts up on her toes to kiss the now willing vixen on her lips. “You I have plans for.”
Narrator: A soft sigh escapes the vixens lips after that kiss, it has been almost seven months since her near death and she has found that there are worse ways to live. Much much worse ways. Besides, she was in love.
(Scene Change)
Petunia Lawson, intrepid explorer stepped out of her amphibious aircraft to stand on a beach looking at a forgotten stack of supplies. Wind, rain and time have taken their toil of the wooden boxes yet their contents appear to be untouched. “So” she says to the camera. “Obviously Silver Star killed her, well don’t you worry Amber I will avenge you.”
Fade out
Narrator: As scenes from already viewed chapters flash on the movie screen while he talks, then as he mentions characters names each characters face appears from scenes as yet unviewed appear as he speaks. “Will Silver Star defeat the courageous reporter Petunia Lawson yet again? Will the explorer Amber be rescued from her slavery, will Petunia disrupt Silver Stars latest nefarious scream or will the island fall into the sea as its volcanic heart erupts thick deadly lava? And what of the Stungwung plant poor Amber was trying to get for Doctor Wilcocks. Return to this theater next week for Chapter six, Reporters Dilemma. A Petunias Perils Adventure.
